Join Yadkin Riverkeeper for our member-only Historic Paddles that explore the history of the Yadkin River. Crater Park in Elkin offers a floating dock to assist with launching, and a pleasant float down to the confluence of the Yadkin and Mitchell rivers We will take out at Burch Station and walk (15 minutes) or ride up to Carolina Heritage Winery to enjoy wine tasting and live music. Freshly cooked food will be available for purchase as well.
For participants in our members-only paddles, boats will be provided free of charge.

YOU MUST BE A MEMBER OF YADKIN RIVERKEEPER TO SIGN UP. IF YOUR MEMBERSHIP IS NOT CURRENT, THE PRICE OF YOUR TICKET WILL INCLUDE A MEMBERSHIP TO YADKIN RIVERKEEPER.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions on outdoor gatherings, PADDLE IS LIMITED TO 15 PADDLERS. We will also be requiring masks on land, practicing social distancing on both land and water, and providing hand sanitizer.
A shuttle will be provided for this paddle. Groups are encouraged to self-shuttle to aid with social distancing.

Note: Personal Flotation Devices (PFD's) are REQUIRED for all paddlers. PFD's are included in your kayak or canoe rental, or if you use a YRK boat; however, if you are supplying your own boat, please bring a PFD. All paddlers are required to sign a waiver; if you have a minor child, the waiver must be signed by a parent or guardian.
Disclaimer: All Yadkin Riverkeeper Paddle Trips are subject to change. Times and availability are flexible due to weather, flood gauges, and other circumstances beyond our control. Please allow extra time based on river conditions. All ending times are estimates. Yadkin Riverkeeper Paddles are alcohol-free. Please keep in mind that paddle trips average 3 miles per hour once on the water.
