Ever stood on the overlook at Quarry Park and wanted to get down to the water? Here’s your chance.

Brian Fannon, an aquatic biologist with Yadkin Riverkeeper, will lead a group walk down to the lake surface and explain the lake’s unique biology. Group is limited to 25 participants via registration, first come, first served. If there is sufficient demand a second group may be added. Register by sending an email to bobbyh@cityofws.org.

Group will meet under the observation pier. Directions: Take Quarry Park Road off Reynolds Park Road (next to the Roscoe Anderson Recreation Center at 2450 Reynolds Park Road). Park is at the end of the road
