To kick off the Tour de Yadkin this year, Yadkin Riverkeeper will host a launch party the evening before the paddling begins at Warrior Creek Amphitheatre, located on the south side of W. Ronda to Crater Park, followed by "A Night in the Village of Elkin"
On our first Friday paddle, we will launch boats a bit later in the day to allow for paddlers to take a half day off of work and join in on the fun! Paddlers will meet at Crater Park, located in downtown Elkin, and will be transported to Ronda River Access, where the 6.8 mile paddle begins. Paddlers will work up an appetite during their three hour trip, so we've planned to have "A Night in the Village of Elkin". This event is back by popular demand, featuring downtown Elkin's premiere cuisine at discounted prices for those that have paddled!
Paddle Crater Park to Mitchell River, followed by Winery Tour and Bluegrass

The Elk Creek Boys will entertain paddlers with local bluegrass music.

Join the Tour de Yadkin's Pack and Paddle Overnight trip from Rockford to Donnaha. This beautiful section of the Yadkin takes paddlers 18.7 miles downstream through Pilot Mountain State Park. Some rapids will present some challenge to the paddle, so make sure to bring a dry bag just in case you dump your boat!
In case you don't want to camp overnight, you can still paddle the first day of the trip and get off the water at the Shoals Access. Since the second paddle day launches from canoe-access only campsites, you will no be able to paddle unless you camp there the night before.
