Report a Violation

Yadkin Riverkeeper cannot monitor the entire river every day. We rely on tips from vigilant citizens in communities along the river and its tributaries to make us aware of polluters, problems or concerns they witness that cause a potential threat to the health of the Yadkin River.

Signs of Possible Violations:
-Strong, offensive, or unusual chemical odors
-Large number of dead animals, including birds or fish
-Pipes or valves that bypass wastewater treatment systems
-Tank trucks discharging into drains, manholes, or surface waters
-Oily slicks on bodies of water
-Corroded, leaking waste containers
-Barrels dumped at odd hours, in out-of-the-way places

Please fill out the form below, leaving as much detail as you can about the problem and giving specific information about the location of the problem.

To take actions further, please report violations of environmental laws to the EPA at www.epa.gov/compliance

For an emergency situation, such as an oil, fuel, or hazardous chemical spill, please call 1 (800) 858-0368. If an immediate health or safety hazard exists, please call 9-1-1.

Thank you for helping to protect our river.
