Tour de Yadkin

Tour de Yadkin 2012 Week 1: Dean's Journal

The Tour this year, like previous years, started at a frantic pace. We got a late start, I had to load a trailer of kayaks and all my camping gear in the rain, we could not find the key to the trailer lock and Tara (YRK Office Manager) locked her keys in her house. None the less, we arrived to find 17 paddlers who showed up to paddle in the rain for a chilly Tour de Yadkin kick off.  As soon as we got on the water, the rain held off, time slowed down and It turned out to be a great day for a paddle.
