This year marks the Second Annual PADDLE- A-THON, a participant based fundraising event. The PADDLE-A-THON works just like a walk-a-thon. Join in on the fun by raising a minimum of $75 in pledges. Ask prospective donors to sponsor your participation in the PADDLE-A-THON. Any sponsor contributing $25 or more receives a year's membership to Yadkin Riverkeeper!
Spectacular prizes like a kayak, a helicopter ride over the Yadkin River, paddle gear & Maui Jim sunglasses will be awarded at the end of the paddle for people who:
- Raise the most money
- Solicit pledges from the most people
- Travel the farthest to paddle that day
Plus, for those bringing their own boat, a prize will be awarded for the best decorated vessel!
Every participant will receive a FREE limited edition Tour de Yadkin tee shirt.
JUST ANNOUNCED: Great Outdoor Provision Company PRIZES
$100 Mountainsmith sleeping bag
$100 ExOfficio gift certificate
$50 GOPC gift card
$50 Smartwool socks

When you register, we will contact you about your preferred boating arrangement. You'll have the option of either a single kayak or a canoe. If you will be bringing your own boat, we'd like to know that as well! If you prefer to paddle a canoe, your paddling partner must also register for the event (& they must also raise at least $75 to participate). Children under the age of 10 can paddle for free!
After you register, you will be prompted to create a Paddler Pledge Page, an personalized online page that allows you to easily receive donations from your friends, family and coworkers via Facebook, twitter and emails!
**If you created a Personal Paddle Page for last year's Paddle-a-Thon, use the same email address and username. If you have forgotten your password, you will be able to reset it through requesting a new one. Click below to get started!
